How To: Celebrate St. Patricks Day

March 15, 2014

Happy almost-St. Patrick's day everyone! Admittedly, this is one holiday that I usually let pass without a big fuss. Meaning, I definitely don't go the pub and drown myself with Guinness. So I decided to formulate a plan to celebrate in a little more subdued way: eating, watching movies and shopping. My three favorite things to do! Check out my top ways to celebrate this year and tell me how you'll be celebrating!

1. Drink A Shamrock Shake

Oh boy! Forget St. Patrick's day, shamrock shakes are one of my favorite things about the month of March. I don't know what makes these things so good! I'm usually not a fan of mint-flavored things but I love these!  If you're not into supporting fast food chains (I totally get you) Yahoo posted this awesome article that shows how easy it is to make your own. Check it out!

2. Watch The Luck of the Irish

Does anyone else miss the old days of Disney Channel original movies as much as me? 'The Luck of The Irish' is one of my favorites!  To sum it up super quickly: a guy turns into a leprechaun...and basketball has something to do with it. Ok, I don't remember the plot much myself, so I'm due to watch it again! I couldn't find anywhere to watch it online, so if you know a place please share! I have a bunch of these old movies on VHS though...yes, I still have a VHS player. Although, I'm not sure if it still works!

3. Shopping!

The best way to celebrate any holiday, really, is to shop. So, use St. Patrick's day as an excuse to add a little pop of green to your wardrobe! Although I'm a strict budget at the moment, I couldn't help but create a little wishlist of green things I would buy. Check out my pics below:

How will you be celebrating St. Patrick's day? Crafting, eating, or pub crawling?! Tell me in the comments!
